About Us
Who Are We?
We're a husband and wife team located in Southern Maryland. During the day we both work for the United States Navy, one as a mechanical engineer and one as a program analyst. We have been 3D printing for almost 10 years and still love it. We founded this company in 2023 making custom automotive parts.
But Why Black Kraken
We get asked a lot why we chose Black Kraken as our business name. We spent entirely too long trying to figure out a name we both really liked. We ended up naming it after our crazy pup (cute pic on the right) that we call our kraken. Nothing is more fun than yelling "Release the Kraken" as we let her off leash after a long day and watch her sprint around.
